In this week’s episode of Made, Lily makes a mistake and leaves her friend’s blocks outside in the rain. She’s worried because she didn’t take very good care of them. Reagan reminds her that there was a time when Adam and Eve made a mistake, too, and they were afraid that God would be mad at them so they hid and made clothes out of leaves. But God was sad that they were scared and sad, and he showed them that he loved them by making them better clothes out of animal skin that would protect and take care of their bodies. God made us to take care of our bodies, and he helps us do that, too. Lily realizes that she can take care of the blocks by cleaning them and returning them to her friend.
Conversation Starters for Older BT Lil’ Kids (ages 3+)
These conversation starters help you connect the main idea from the Bible story with your BT Lil’ Kid’s everyday life. These questions are designed for you to be able to share your faith with your child and hear how your child is thinking about God and Jesus.
For PARENT and KID: Imagine being with God in the garden. What would you do?
For PARENT: Share a time when you realized God made you to take care of your body.
For KID: What’s one way you can take care of your body?
TOGETHER: Throughout the week, look for examples of when you are taking care of your body (bathing, brushing teeth, exercising, brushing your hair, etc.) and thank God for those.
Activities for All BT Lil’ Kids
These activities are ways to bring Sunday home and be a part of your BT Lil’ Kids’ world. They are designed to be woven into the fabric of your day as a way to talk about God as you play, bathe, drive, cuddle, and move.
BATHTIME: In the bath, ask your little one to wash his/her hands, feet, shoulders, etc. (If he/she is too little, then let him/her point as you name different places.)
CUDDLETIME: As you snuggle, remind your little one how special his nose is, her eyes are, etc., because God made every part of him/her. Thank God for helping us take care of our bodies.
